An exceptional find from the 1st World War - letter from one of the oldest squadrons in the Royal Air Force posted in their short deployment to France late in WW1.
Plain envelope (roughly opened along the top and damaged rear flap) cancelled with the datestamp Army Post Office AD1 - 20 JY 18 - used in the Ranchincourt area os France, Censored.
Mailed with the enclosed letter addressed from 148 Sqdn RAF BEF (in pencil) sent to the No 1 B.R.C. Hospital BEF France, with Army Post Office S79 to reverse.
