WW1 plain Post card written in pencil headed On Active Service and sent to the stamp dealers Whitfield king in Ipswich, franked French 3c cancelled part Field Post Office H. 3 14 AP 16. 

Date stamp allocated to the British 3rd Corps HQ arriving in the Somme at this time. Red (type CM4) PASSED FIELD CENSOR 40 cachet. 

Message headed from the B.E.F the writer mentions he has put a French stamp ointment on the card as a curiosity.
